These terms and conditions govern your use of the HabCheck Scotland website and our vehicle inspection, habitation check and certification services. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
HabCheck Scotland provides habitation checks, vehicle inspections and certification services for motorhomes, caravans and trailers. We operate across Scotland. Our inspections are advisory in nature — we provide impartial reports on the condition of your vehicle but do not carry out repairs.
Bookings can be made through our website, by phone or by email. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by us. A booking is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from us.
We will make every effort to attend at the agreed date and time. If we need to reschedule, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative appointment.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice, but we will always confirm the price before carrying out any work.
Payment is due on completion of the inspection unless otherwise agreed in advance. We accept payment by bank transfer, card payment and cash.
Our inspections are carried out by qualified engineers to industry standards. Inspection reports reflect the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection only. We do not guarantee the future condition or performance of any vehicle.
Our reports are impartial and provided for informational purposes. As we do not carry out repairs, we have no financial interest in the outcome of any inspection. Recommendations in our reports are advisory — the decision to carry out any repairs rests with the vehicle owner.
You must ensure that we have safe and suitable access to your vehicle at the agreed location. The vehicle must be available and accessible for the duration of the inspection. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue an inspection if we consider the working conditions to be unsafe.
While we take every care during our inspections, our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from our services or reports. We maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
All content on the HabCheck Scotland website — including text, images, logos and design — is our property or used under licence. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content without our written permission.
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
